Both Republican & Democratic candidates are now accusing one another of ‘flip-flopping’ their stances on the issues. The definition being that the candidates change their policy or opinion or to disguise their deeply held beliefs in order to maximize their popularity just before an election. This is nothing but a red-herring used by those who did not win in Iowa to divert attention away from the fact that they did not win in Iowa and may not win the first primary in New Hampshire.

To quote Ben Franklin, “For having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged, by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions, even on important subjects, which I once thought right but found to be otherwise.” I would even give Hillary Clinton a break here, on the fact that she voted for the war in Iraq and is now against it. Let’s get back to the issues people.

Don’t we want people to change their mind, especially if they realize they are wrong?
